Earl Lee makes his LA Phil debut

Earl Lee makes his LA Phil debut on March 10, conducting Isang YUN’s double concerto for oboe & harp with the LA Phil New Music Group in a multi-disciplinary performance featuring lighting prelude from visual artist Hague Yang. On March 29, he returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall to lead the Colburn Orchestra in an evening showcasing Samy Moussa's Elysium, Bruch’s G minor violin concerto played by Eunice Lee, and Strauss’ Also sprach Zarathustra.

Following his Disney hall debut in March 2025 with Mahler Symphony No.2, Bachtrack wrote:

"It was an interpretation that brimmed with delight in the score’s interpretive details, evinced by the ease with which conductor rendered various thorny passages, such as the impeccable elasticity he wielded in its transitions. This is virtuoso music that demands a virtuoso conductor. Lee met this challenge head-on. The force of his personality goaded the Colburn Orchestra into delivering one of its finest performances in recent memory, their musicians clearly hanging on to their conductor’s beat."
